Cribbage.com is a small project with a simple goal: make the game we love easy to play, free for everyone, and faithful to the tradition that built it.

Our Story

Cribbage has been played around kitchen tables, on ship decks, in mining camps, and in pub corners since the 1600s. It outlasted empires. It survived two world wars and the rise of television. And somehow, four centuries later, people still pull out the board, deal six cards, and start counting fifteens.

We started Cribbage.com because that tradition deserves a good home online. Not a flashy one. Not a paywalled one. Just a clean, reliable place where anyone can sit down and play.

What We Believe

A few principles guide everything we build here. They sound obvious. We’ve found that, on the internet in 2026, they’re not.

• Free should mean free. Every mode, every puzzle, every match – no fees, no upsells. The game is the product.
• Faithful to the rules. Standard scoring. Real pegging. Muggins if you want it. We don’t reinvent the game; we host it.
• Welcoming to beginners. Hints when you need them, an AI tuned to play like a thoughtful human, and a learn-as-you-go pace.

Why Cribbage, of All Games?

Because cribbage is a conversation. Five-card draws, quick decisions, small bets between safety and boldness. You can play a hand in two minutes and a match in fifteen. A good player will usually beat a bad one but not always, and that “not always” is the soul of the game. Luck and skill, in nearly equal measure, every single hand.

It’s also one of the few card games designed for two people from the start. That makes it perfect for couples, road-trip companions, hospital-room visitors, and quiet evenings. We think games that bring two people together are worth protecting.
