These Terms of Service (also called the “Agreement,” “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you,” “User”) and Tumes Media Limited, a company registered in Malta, with address at 49, Bambinella, Triq is-Soll Santa Venera, SVR1832, Malta

By registering an account, logging in, or using the services on Cribbage.com (“the Service” or “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Definitions

  • Account means a user registration on Cribbage.com.
  • User / You means anyone who registers or uses the Services.
  • AI Bots means computer-controlled opponents in games.
  • Multiplayer means real-time games between two or more human players.
  • Matchmaking, Leaderboards, Rankings refer to features in the Services that pair players, display performance over time, and rank players.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your jurisdiction, to use the Services.
  • If you are under the legal age in your jurisdiction, but at least 13, you must obtain parental or guardian consent.

3. Account, Registration, and Security

  • When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information.
  • Third-Party Logins: If you register or log in using a third-party service (such as Facebook), you authorize us to access and use your basic profile information from that service as permitted by that service and detailed in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Use of the Services

  • You may play Cribbage in 1-player (vs AI), or in Multiplayer (2-, 3-, or 4-player).
  • Follow all rules of the game, including correct scoring, discarding, pegging, counting, muggins, etc.
  • You may customize skins, decks, backgrounds, but must not use these features to disrupt game balance or ask unfair advantage.

5. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses You agree you will not:

  • Cheat or use external assistance (e.g., bots, hacks, tools) in multiplayer games.
  • Miscount deliberately, or abuse the “steal if miscount” rule.
  • Use abusive, harassing, defamatory, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate language to other users.
  • Impersonate someone else or misrepresent affiliation.
  • Disrupt or interfere with the Services or servers.
  • Publish content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
  • Use the Services in any way that violates laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The software, design, graphics, content and all rights therein are owned or licensed by Tumes Media Limited.
  • You don’t gain ownership of Cribbage.com trademarks, logos, etc. by using the Services.
  • Content you generate (your username, profile picture, game history, etc.) remains yours, but by using the multiplayer or public features you grant us a license to display, use, and distribute that content (public game results, leaderboards) as needed to run the Services.

7. Termination / Suspension

  • We may suspend or terminate your account or access if you violate these Terms, commit fraud, cheat, or engage in abusive behavior.
  • Termination may also happen for inactivity, security concerns, or at our discretion.
  • Upon termination, you lose rights to further use the Services. Some data (game history, violation records, etc.) may be retained for legal, security, or auditing purposes.

8. Leaderboards & Rankings

  • Rankings are based on your performance in multiplayer games.
  • We reserve the right to correct or remove inaccurate rankings.
  • Cheating detection or rule violation may result in removal or adjustment of scores or rankings.

9. Payments & Subscriptions (if applicable)

  • If you purchase any premium features, skins, or subscription, you agree to the payment terms.
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by local law.
  • We may change prices; we’ll notify you in advance in accordance with applicable law.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent allowed by law.
  • We do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or secure operation of the Services.
  • To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Tumes Media Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
  • Our total liability to you for damages under these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the last 12 months, or a minimal statutory amount if you have not paid us.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta and the European Union.
  • Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Malta, unless another method (arbitration or mediation) is agreed or required by law.

12. Changes to the Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time; changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
  • If the changes are material, we’ll notify you (via email or through the site) before they take effect.
  • Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the new Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms plus any policies we reference (privacy, fair play, etc.) constitute the full agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
  • Severability: If one part is found invalid, the rest remain in effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of future enforcement.
